Dr. Mourad El-Gamal:

Holds the prestigious William Dawson Scholar Chair in the Department
of Electrical and Computer Engineering, at McGill University,
Montreal, Canada:
Director of Engineering then Vice President and General Manager
of the Wireless Business Unit of MEMSCAP Inc., France (a publicly trading company)

Oversaw the technical and business
activities of large teams in different sites
around the world, consisting of technical and marketing experts. He
had close interactions with
the sales team.

The technical activities included:
The development of RF-MEMS devices, the design of RFIC’s (1-5 GHz), and
the development of new millimeter wave passive circuits (20-40 GHz).
Published over 60 technical papers in world-class
conferences and journals, and a book chapter entitled “Low-Voltage
Integrated RF CMOS Modules and Frontend for 5 GHz and Beyond”.
Served as
Associate and Guest Editor
for International journals, such as the IEEE Journal of
Solid-State Circuits (JSSC) and the Transactions on
Circuits and Systems (TCAS).
Holds one patent and has two pending on analog, RFIC,
and MEMS systems.
Member of the Executive Committee of the IEEE Bipolar / BiCMOS
Circuits and Technology Meeting (BCTM), member of the
committee on Emerging Technologies of the IEEE Custom Integrated
Circuits Conference (CICC), and member of the Analog
Signal Processing Technical Committee of the IEEE Circuits and
Systems (CAS) Society.
Earlier, he worked for IBM and ALCATEL.
